Finding the way out of a negative equity situation is not easy. Piling on and constantly refinancing negative equity has a snowball effect. If you get caught in this trap, you will never end up paying off any car you buy. If you are the one already in this situation, here is the door. I will give you a way to get out of the negative equity rut.
Automobiles are a depreciating investment, no matter what you buy, the older it gets and the more mileage you put on it the lower it's value. What if all you had to do is make three years of regular payments and then get a fresh start? What is a fresh start? I mean you can finish three years of an auto loan and owe nothing. I have the formula below on how to do it. I call it the Berglund Toyota Advantage Lease! Read below and learn a solution to your "Negative Equity" problems:
Example #1: (these examples are from actual vehicles we have in stock)
2008 Camry XLE with 4cyl
Equip: leather, 7-standard airbags, JBL stereo with 6-CD changer and Bluetooth, moon roof, alloy wheels and more.
**Potential buyer owes $6,000 more than their vehicle is worth.
Buy v/s Lease
Buy = $639 per month for 60 months @ 7.9% APR using the $1,000 rebate.
Lease = $469 per month for 36 months at 1.25% APR with taxes and first payment down.*
After 36 months the lease customer can turn the vehicle in and walk away from the terrible negative–equity cycle that plagues so many today. The lease customer will also
Save $170 per month in payments totaling $5,950 over the 3 year lease term.
Example #2:
2008 Tundra Double-Cab 4wd with 4.7LTR V8
**Potential buyer owes $6,000 more than their vehicles worth.
Buy v/s Lease
Buy = $658 per month for 60 months @ 7.9% APR using the $2,750 rebate.
Lease = $499 per month for 36 months @ 1% APR with taxes and first payment down.*
After 36 months the lease customer can say “Goodbye” to negative equity. Save $158 per month in payments totaling $5,530 over the 3 year lease term.
Example #3:
2008 Sienna Van
with 6cyl, dual air condition, side and curtain airbags and more.
**Potential buyer owes $5,000 more than their vehicle is worth.
Buy v/s Lease
Buy = $580 per month for 60 months @ 7.9% APR with the $1,000 rebate down.
Lease = $469 per month for 36 months @ 3.5% APR with taxes and first payment down*
As you can see, you can easily walk away from a terrible financial situation and end up free and clear. There are restrictions to the lease programs, however. Most of these restrictions have to do with your credit. From my last example above, you can see that after 36 months the lease customer can start over “fresh” without negative equity. You can save $111 per month over a purchase, totaling $3,885 over the 3 year lease term.
Do you have other questios about how this program works? Maybe you are wondering if you would qualify. Let me help you get out of you Negative Equity Rut and into a free-and-clear future. Please ask for me if you visit the delarship, or call me at (434) 528-3202. You can also email me at Tony@berglundtoyota.com.
*-all leases are with approved credit
*-lease payments and APRs will change from month to month.
*-lease examples are for 36 months and 12k miles per year. Higher mileage leases are available. No other up front fees required. These lease offers expire March 31, 2008

Making Car Buying Easy for You
The new website for Berglund Toyota in Lynchburg, VA has a lot of useful features for the individual that is in the market for a new Toyota, or a pre-owned vehicle. The www.berglundtoyota.com website is not just for finding out what vehicles we have in stock. It has much more to offer potential customers and current owners.
Some of the features I want to go over have actually been on our site for several years yet not many people have been aware of them until now. I am talking about our Toyota Certified Service Department and Toyota Genuine Parts Coupons. We offer extra savings on the Berglund Toyota website that you may not find anywhere else. The Toyota Genuine Parts Department often has specials on tires, genuine Toyota oil filters, and even Toyota spark plugs. The Service Department coupons cover services like winterization specials in the winter or Special rates for AC servicing in the spring. Our quick and professional oil changes are less expensive than both Lynchburg’s Jiffy Lube and Speedy’s oil change service that is across the street from our dealership at 3000 wards road in Lynchburg, VA.
On the Berglund Toyota Home Page we have a section called “Helpful Information.” This is what it looks like:
These are links that are helpful to the consumer during all phases of car ownership. First, before you buy, you can do all of your Research from www.berglundtoyota.com by Custom-building a Toyota. You can build one to meet your own needs and wants and Berglund Toyota will send you a price for that vehicle.
Then there is the Vehicle Review Section. Here you can read what professional reviews are saying about the Toyota Model Lineup. There is also a link that will help with all your financing questions. The Finance page looks at the cash purchase, Finance, and leasing terms. Finally there is a link to this page, our Blog. In our Toyota Blog I try to offer useful information (how’s that working out so far?).
The Next section on our Toyota website is the Ready to Buy section. There you will find a link to get your Vehicle Appraised by clicking our Used Car Evaluatoin for free by one of our used car Buyers. Everyone wants to know the value of his or her trade (see the earlier blog on the bottom of this page where I tell you how to get the most for your trade). All you have to do to get your free online vehicle appraisal is click on the link and fill out the form by answer a series of questions. The more information you can provide the better. In the end, it is always better if we see the car in person, but this free online appraisal is a great way to get a basic idea! Sending digital pictures along with the evaluation form is helpful.
Next is the Toyota Finance Application. If you know what vehicle you want, or you would just like to get prequalified, you can submit your application. A lot of people will use the latter reason just to see what options are available to them. Others will complete the online finance application in order to get as much done before they arrive in the store as possible. This is especially helpful to people who live in Roanoke, Charlottesville, Richmond, Danville, Martinsville, and other outlying areas that are driving in to buy a Toyota from us here at Berglund Toyota.
Under the Toyota Incentives link you can research the latest monthly advertised Toyota rebates, Toyota incentives, and Toyota interest rates.
Lastly under the Ready to Buy section is the Estimate a Payment link. Here you can play around with payments and down payments to see what you can afford.
The Owners section is the final area. In this section you can get information on how to purchase an extended maintenance plan. Here you send us the type of vehicle you have, the mileage, and how long you have owned your Toyota. By the way, you do not have to own a Toyota to buy an extended maintenance agreement. You could own a Nissan, Honda, Ford, Chevy, GM, Cadillac or anything else and still get it serviced professionally at Berglund Toyota. Once you have filled out the form and emailed it in, one of our extended maintenance plan specialists will call, or email you with the information you requested.
Next is a quick link to the Toyota Service Appointment page. Here you just put in the type of service you need, select a day and time, and your appointment is booked electronically! Be careful not to book an appointment on a holiday…
Also, there is a link to the Berglund Toyota Myspace page. Come visit our page on Myspace and put up any questions or comments about the dealership or our staff. One of the fun things you can see here is our entire history of past Deal of the Day commercials (Internet Department specials), and just pick up other information about the dealership or even me!
Finally, there is a link to a page at Toyota.com that allows you to enter the year, make, and model of your Toyota to show you the Toyota recommended maintenance intervals. At Berglund Toyota we recommend the servicing plan for harsher driving and weather conditions.
That is it for our Helpful Information section on our brand new Berglund Toyota website. I hope you can take advantage of these great consumer friendly offerings we have worked so hard to bring you. We also welcome any questions or comments that you have. If you feel that we can improve our website or anything else for that matter, please write in to this blog or leave us a message on the berglundtoyota.com website our Myspace blog. Thanks for reading!

New 2008 Toyota Sequoia. Lynchburg VA
We just got in one of our first new 2008 Toyota Sequoias at Berglund Toyota in Lynchburg VA. The Sequoia is on a completely new platform. A much larger vehicle than ever before and is the largest vehicle Toyota has produced to date. I own a 2003 Toyota Sequoia SR5, so I figured I can do a pretty good evaluation of the new Sequoia. Disclaimer: this review may contain bias :-). My wife loves our Sequoia. We have three children, three rows of seats, and rear entertainment system, its a great family vehicle… Here is a picture of mine.
At first glance, the new 2008 Sequoia is visibly much larger. With the price starting at only $34,835 I am easily impressed. It has the same broad stance as it did before, but has different styling cues. It gains much of its new look from the new Toyota Tundra.
The new platform provides exterior dimensions that are comparable with other vehicles in the Sequoia's class. Inside, efficient packaging gives the new Sequoia a roomier cabin and more cargo space, which for a family of five like mine is useful.
Options:
The 2008 Sequoia is available in three grades – SR5, Limited and Platinum. The list of standard items on the SR5 and Limited grades, includes the 276 hp 4.7L V8 engine and Automatic Transmission, Engine Immobilizer with Alarm, Direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Seating for Eight Passengers, Eight-way Manually Adjustable Driver's Seat, Four-way Manually Adjustable Front Passenger's Seat, Fold-flat Feature for Second- and Third-row Seats, Auto Tri-zone Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Locks, Back Window, Keyless Entry, AM/FM/CD Eight-speaker Audio System with a mini-plug for iPod compatibility, Rear Wiper and Defogger, Tilt/Telescoping Steering Wheel, Cruise Control, Spare Tire and Mud Guards.
The Limited Grade has Front and Rear Parking Sonar, Fog Lamps, Heated Leather-trimmed Seats, 10-way Power-adjustable Driver's Seat, Leather-trimmed Steering Wheel and Gear Shift Knob, Optitron Gauges, Multi-information Display, Electrochromatic Rear-view Mirror, Roof Rack, Running Boards and JBL Synthesis Audio System with Bluetooth Capability.
The Platinum Grade includes all of the above, and also adds the 5.7L iForce V8 Engine and Six-Speed Transmission, 20-inch Diamond Cut-Finish Alloy Wheels, Rear Load-leveling Air Suspension, Power memory-seat package, Heated and Air-conditioned Front Seats (driver and first-row passenger), Second-row Heated Seats, Rear Spoiler, Power Rear Hatch, Sunroof, Headlamp Washer, and Navigation System with a Backup Camera.
A wide range of options is available on the SR5 and Limited Grades, including the 5.7L V8 engine and six-speed transmission, four-wheel drive, a towing package, rear-seat entertainment system, heated leather-trimmed seat packages, load-leveling rear air suspension, sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels, power back door, and more. Laser Cruise Control is an option exclusive to the Platinum grade.Seating:
When I first sat in the driver’s seat of the New 2008 Sequoia I immediately noticed how much higher I felt compared to my 4x4 Sequoia. The seats are comfortable, and the layout of the plenteous options felt logical. The second row was roomy with split 60/40 bench seat and had easy access to the third row seating. The third row is perfect for almost all ages. The large cargo area was also very impressive with plenty of room for extra things we might take on trips.
Here are some pictures of the New 2008 Sequoia. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We currently have several Toyota Sequoias at our dealership in Lynchburg Virginia at 3000 wards road.

Getting the Most for Your Trade
I am a sales manager at Berglund Toyota in Lynchburg Virginia. In an attempt to offer information to the public, I am beginning this Blog. I am not going to promote myself, or Berglund Toyota. Instead I am going to try to offer advice and assist you, the customer. I may be offering product information also, but I will take this one day at a time. I may not do this every day, but I will try to write as often as possible.
A little about myself. My name is Tony, and I am a 41 years old. I live in Lynchburg Virginia. I have worked for the Berglund organization for 2 years now. Prior to this, I lived in San Luis Obispo, California and was a Floor Manager at the Toyota Dealership there. I moved to Lynchburg for the cost of living, way of life, and so on...
I am actually the Internet Sales Manager here at Berglund Toyota. What I do is manage a small sales staff of four who answers all your calls and emails that come in from various websites on the Internet.
That is enough about me and what I do...
Today, I am going to start off by telling you 3 Ways to Get the Most Money for Your Trade. Follow my used car trade in advice and become wise...
Step One:
Do Your Research: Trade in values can be found at Kelly Blue Book, Nada, and Edmund's, these are great places to start. Each of these web sites that offer a basic estimated value of your vehicle based on its year, make, model, mileage, and options.
Step Two:
Make sure your vehicle is in running order. Make sure all fluids are topped off, change your oil, have no warning lights on in the dash. You can lose hundreds, maybe thousands if your engine or airbag lights are on...
Step Three:
Clean your vehicle inside and out. Wax your car. If you can afford to, have the vehicle professionally detailed. You know what they say about first impressions! A dealer will visually inspect your car. If your car is super dirty inside and out a dealer might think that if you did not take care of the outside, you did not take car of the inside. Perception is reality, right?
I hope this has been helpful. This basic information applies whether you are looking for a new Toyota, a used vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter. Thanks for checking out my new blog. Check back on our website, berglundtoyota.com, for other customer-friendly posts.
